2022 APERA Annual Conference

Our 2022 Annual Conference was held in Canberra on the 17th and 18th November 2022. It was hosted by Wentworth Institute of Higher Education at its Canberra CBD campus. The conference theme was 'Engaging Partnerships'.
The keynote speaker was Professor Giles Hirst, Professor of Leadership in the Research School of Management at the Australian National University.
The conference was our first 'face-to-face' event since the emergence of Covid and provided a welcome opportunity for colleagues old and new to hear some stimulating presentations and engage in some lively collegiate discussions.

2021 IERA Symposium
Due to the ongoing pandemic,
APERA/IERA's major event for 2021 was held via a Zoom link.
With the theme of Contemporary Challenges - Issues and Processes, the keynote speakers were Professors Greg Bamber and Fang Lee Cooke from Monash Univesrity on the topic Perspectives on International and Comparative Employment Relations, with China as a Country Example and Associate Professor Amanda Daly from Griffith University on the topic Developing Cross Institutional Research Partnerships. Both keynotes sparked significant interest and discussion.
A 'virtual' after party at the successful conclusion of the Symposium provided an opportunity for those attending to reconnect with colleagues from other institutions, develop new friendships, and exchange ideas for future research projects and events.

2020 Annual Conference
The 2020 IERA Annual Conference was held in November 2020. Originally planned to be held in Sydney, the conference was held via Zoom link due to the ongoing Covid lockdowns. The Conference program and book of abstracts can be found by clicking on the box below.
